1. MEDITATION
All meditations are drop in with donation encouraged.
- Morning Meditation: General Public Invited
Mon & Thurs Mornings – 6:15 to 7:15 a.m.
Stop by the daoguan to sit in meditation (Neigong), followed by Daoist stretching led by Don Coleman. Donation encouraged. - Zen Based Meditation & Contemplative Inquiry
Evening; 2nd Sunday(7:00 pm) & 4th Thurs (8:00 pm) of month

2. TAIJI FORMS
All YMT forms classes include meditation (Neigong).
- YMT Thirteen Postures

For those NEW to t’ai chi or to the YMT traditon.
Class teaches breathing coordinated with movement to enhance inner energy & peace of mind. - YMT Thirteen Postures (continuing)

For students CONTINUING with YMT 13 postures.
YMT 127 Posture Form
Once we learn ‘Thirteen Postures’ we move into the longer form which has three Duans (duan = “sections”)

In addition to focusing on the 1st section of the 127
posture form, tuishou (push hands) will be introduced. - YMT Duan Two

Neigong, stretching, basic exercise & forms (Duans 1, 2, 3, instruction regarding low postures). Open to those who have completed Duan Two & want to learn how to integrate low postures into the form. - YMT Sunday Tranquility Practice

A moving qigong, form/postures often in a circular fashion. Open to new students
3. TUISHOU
- Yangjia Michuan Tuishou (Push Hands)

To participate in this tuishou class, one must also be registered in other YMT forms classes and have permission of instructor.

4. TAIJI WEAPONS

Open to students new to taiji staff and who have

5. WORKSHOPS/EVENTS
- World Taiji Day
Saturday April 28. Practice in the park 8 to 10 a.m.
A fun event! Practice the form with lots of people and try weapons in a casual setting.This year we dedicate World taiji day practice to Joe Morris who was a Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan teacher in Chicago. He studied with Laoshir Wang Yen-nien in Taipei 25+ years ago and was very encouraging to Don Coleman.

May 15 – June 28, Monona Terrace Rooftop - Relational Practice: Being Present with Another
Rescheduled (TBA).
A daylong workshop which focuses our meditation practice (being present), to being present with another. Get introduced to a series of physical exercises practiced with a partner. Studying our minds and reactions will deepen our understanding of ourselves in relationship. This is a hands on workshop, meaning there is physical contact which is guided, soft and contained.

Range of Motion Dance…Stretches…Tai-Chi Chuan Gentle series of movements to increase strength, flexibility and balance. Stretches are based in tai-chi and yoga. Fundamental Tai-Chi Chuan movement.
